Updated Timing for MQL Creation from ON24 Checkbox

Based on feedback from Marketing and Sales, we have adjusted the timing for creating Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) generated from the ON24 webinar registration page. This change aims to improve and streamline MQL follow up by aligning it directly after the webinar.

Moving forward:

  • MQLs will now be created in Salesforce the day after the webinar.
  • The language on the registration page checkbox has been updated to clearly set expectations for customers (see image below).

Important: For webinars with live registration pages, the MQLs will still be created the day of registration. The new process takes effect for registration pages created as of 6 September.

For any questions, please contact us here.

Review IQVIA’s Updated Direct Marketing Guidance

Following recent updates from IQVIA’s Global Privacy team and regional legal counsel, the DirectMarketing Quick Chart and the  IQVIA Direct Marketing Multicountry Table are revised. The Quick Chart offers a simple overview of the direct marketing status for permission-based marketing across various countries, using color status values to guide country exclusions for email campaigns. The Table provides additional detail on each country’s specific marketing limitations.

You can use these documents to better understand which countries fall within master exclusions applied to IQVIA outreach campaigns.

These updated documents will be available in the resources section of the Toolbox next month.

For further guidance contact Marketing Operations or our Global Privacy team.

Google Ads to Deprecate Enhanced Cost-Per-Click for Search and Display Ads

Google Ads announced it will discontinue its enhanced cost-per-click (eCPC) bidding strategy, transitioning advertisers to manual CPC or newer AI-driven options by March 2025.

What to expect from this change:

  • Google is phasing out Enhanced CPC bidding.
  • Existing campaigns have until March 2025 to transition.
  • Google recommends newer, AI-driven bidding strategies.

What this means for advertisers

This update signals Google’s continued push towards more sophisticated, AI-driven bidding strategies.

In the coming months, advertisers currently relying on Enhanced CPC will need to evaluate their options and potentially adapt their campaign management approaches.

While the change may require some initial adjustments, it also allows advertisers to explore and leverage Google’s more advanced bidding strategies, potentially improving campaign performance and efficiency.

For more details and considerations on bidding strategies and goals, learn more from Google here or contact Shivsagar Biradar.

LEAN - Critical in Stroke Management

The Angels LEAN project initiative was inspired by a tragedy that highlighted the critical need for hospitals to be adept at treating stroke patients promptly and effectively. The Angels initiative aims to revolutionize stroke management and treatment across hospitals worldwide. Earlier this year, IQVIA's Central Lean Team collaborated with partners from the Boehringer Ingelheim team to showcase a unique opportunity to work together and influence patient outcomes. For more details on the project, read our Go IQ story.

Please be sure to like, share and follow The Lean Connection and visit LEAN BPI&A for all the latest helpful news and information.
